Headstart Early Education Program
About the Program
The Head Start early education program helps 3 - 5 year old children achieve success in learning and in life.
Head Start supports and encourages parents being their child’s first and most important teacher by:
Participating in home visits
Contributing to development of Individual Program Plans (IPP)
Meeting regularly with staff to review your child’s progress
Offering parenting workshops
Providing volunteers in the classroom
Attending field trips and special events
The Head Start Program is supervised by qualified staff and offers:
Establishment of individual goals for each child
Support services, including:
Speech Language Services
Families who qualify for registration include:
English language learners
Children with developmental delays
Children with behavioural issues
Children who would benefit from additional socialization opportunities
There is no cost to families enrolled in the Head Start program. Transportation is also available for students who require assistance.
Programming operates from September through June. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 11:30am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
